In each of the four tapestries, a different species of parrot is depicted; their squawking noises are represented by the irregular zigzag forms around the borders. These noise forms are also to be found coiling around the parrots, and issuing from their beaks. A monkey, rendered in dynamic Futurist, while a serpent provokes the parrots´ chatter in the tapestry from life in the Roman zoo which eas within walking distance of his studio
