- Caption: 189. This small floral form, measuring approximately 13 inches high and 9 inches wide, was one of the original series (1918-1930) of painted wooden sculptures constructed of flat units inserted into each other, easily mantled and dismantled. The basic units were of relatively simple shapes, and thus could be easily manufactured in quality as Balla´s intention was that Futurist sculpture would be readily avaiable to the public. The emphatic stylized forms used in some of the flowers are similar to the dynamic "lines of force" in this paintings
