In this study of the night-reflections of a speeding car, Balla attempted to portray the effects of moving lights, moving wheels and simultaneous reflections. The wheels in movement produce a series of vortexes. the straight lines of the windshield interpenetrate with the curved lines of speed. the car is moving from left to right and the "space-time" intervals between the curved lines of speed expand indicating that the velocity of the car has increased
